The Inquiry
Automation is redefining urban habits, shrinking the gap between "wanting" and "buying." We asked: How will the "frictionless" future reshape our domestic spaces?
The Prototype
At Milan Design Week 2020, we presented a Transaction Membrane—an A-commerce assistant prototype using speculative design and mixed reality. In collaboration with Bosch's R&D team, we transformed a kitchen into an automated food delivery hub, testing how transactions could seamlessly integrate into living environments.
The Future Impact
Validation: Showcased the value of speculative design for testing marketing concepts without full product development.
Commercial Success: The project generated over $20,000 in immediate projects and dozens of inquiries.
Recognition: Honored in Fast Company's Innovation by Design Awards, positioning the studio as thought leaders in automated urban environments.
